Perimenopause can sneak up in ways that leave many women feeling confused and frustrated. Maybe you're waking up in the night drenched in sweat, feeling more anxious than usual, or noticing shifts in your weight that don’t match your usual routine. These are just a few signs that your body may be entering a new phase.


In this post, we’re covering the top five symptoms of perimenopause and how you can start to feel more like yourself again.


Top 5 most common symptoms of Perimenopause


  1. Sleep disturbances

  2. Weight gain and redistribution 

  3. Anxiety, depression & panic attacks

  4. Fatigue 

  5. Night sweats with or without daytime hot flashes


Other symptoms can include: sexual disfunction and vaginal changes & joint pain, muscle aches, and osteoarthritis, dry or itchy eyes, urinary dysfunction, gastrointestinal problems (bloating & digestion issues), heart palpitations or irregular heartbeat, burning mouth sensation, allergies, brain fog, migraines dizziness, memory problems, taste changes, body odour changes. 


Every women expereinces perimenopause differently, and while these symptoms can be undesired and challenging, they are a totally normal part of aging. That said, just because they are normal, doesn't mean there is nothing you can do about it!

HRT involves replacing hormones that are no longer being produced by the body, such as estrogen and progesterone.
